back for the second blogging.  (it's my day off and i am spending it working in the yard...).
further research has shown that 99% of blogs are on one of three topics-- politics, sports or music.  ok-- so that stat is based on flimsy anecdotal evidence but i'm not writing as a government analyst here so i take some liberties.
anyways-- we could talk politics but that would probably end up with uncle steve being accosted by a lynch mob of liberal, feminist neo-communists (99% of which are actually part of the townsend family-- NOT a flimsy anecdotal data).  and i find talking sports sort of boring.  so it needs to be music for now.
so while i'm working in the yard i am listening to the beatles and the stones on my ipod.  bringing up the age old question of which is the superior band:  beatles or stones.  sure, many are going to say they will not choose--  but it is sorta like the highlander-- THERE CAN ONLY BE ONE...  like in the age old maryann vs. ginger paradigm.
i'm pretty sure it is the stones.  and i'm pretty sure the album is exile on main street.   if it WAS the beatles it would probably be the white album (sure magical mystery tour has that cool looking album cover but that's sort of the best part about that album).  and sgt peppers is just sort of trying too hard etc.  course abby road is a pretty good listen...
that's all i got...

  1. I LOVE that you posted twice - in one day even!
You know, Ken will probably agree with you on the Stones over the Beatles, but I'd have to go with J,P,G & R - especially the White Album and Abbey Road. Oh, and there were some good songs on Revolver too.

  2. Stones, Yes. Though I lean towards Made In the Shade. Dig your comments on the Townsend women folk. Though I wonder if you'd be so candid sleeping next to one after a round or two of "serious debate". Perhaps you could persuade Martha to blog in. Love to hear from her.
